At the moment I run this site from a computer at home. It runs on Linux 2.6.15 and Apache. Nothing fancy and for the moment it works nicely. I have since discovered lighttpd. I played with it in a Virtual Machine and it was a piece of cake for my modest needs. I’m thinking of migrating to that at some stage so it’s easier for me to handle.

I would also like to get Postfix working (pretty sure I can now) so that I can handle email for this site by myself. Then I could have something like “user@vickersf.dyndns.org”, with built in spam filtering.

My final computer project for the timebeing would be to migrate it over to an old laptop and run Linux, Lighttpd, Postfix and whatever else I decide to play with.
